This Charming Girl will be at Judy’s Affordable Vintage Fair in Glasgow’s QMU on Thursday the 15th of September. It’s a freshers’ fair and is free entry so is not to be missed! Doors open 10am until 5pm. From Judy’s:

We’ve been nominated!

This Charming Girl has been nominated in the Fabulous High Street Fashion Awards under ‘Fabulous Fashion Finds’!

Aaah – so exciting! I never once imagined that the little bedroom operation I started all those years ago would end up being nominated for an award like this. This Charming Girl turns 5 years old in October, when the awards ceremony is being held, so to win would be a fantastic way to mark the occasion! If you’d like to see us win, please cast your vote here. Voting closes at midnight on the 26th of August.

Afternoon Twee

We did our first vintage fair last weekend! This Charming Girl set up shop at the Afternoon Twee Vintage Fair in The Shed in Shawlands, Glasgow on Sunday the 31st of July. As it was the first vintage fair to hit the south side of Glasgow, where we’re based, we were keen to get involved! Over 700 people turned out to peruse the stalls of vintage clothing, accessories, crockery, arts & crafts and of course, jewellery – not bad for a rainy Sunday afternoon! It was lovely to meet some of our customers face to face for the first time and we really enjoyed seeing which items were popular on the day. Here are a few photos of our vintage inspired stall!

We hope to do more vintage and craft fairs in Glasgow so watch this space for our next one.

Introducing… Grab Bags!

Throughout our many years running This Charming Girl we’ve amassed a huge collection of new and vintage charms, pendants, beads and jewellery findings. We don’t always get round to using these and so it’s time some of them found a new home! Our solution is to offer them to YOU in the form of Grab Bags!


Each grab bag will contain 50 individual pieces – these may be vintage bits and bobs from the 1950s-1980s, vintage stamping reproductions, new findings (such as cabochon and cameo settings, ring blanks, keyrings, earrings bases etc), brass pendants, lockets, beads, acrylic cameos… the list is endless! Each bag will be carefully selected to ensure there’s a good variety of sizes, shapes and materials.

Please note the photo is for representative purposes only and your bag contents will differ – no two bags will be the same! Unfortunately we cannot take requests for bag contents.
